The Word and Sports Nonprofit Organization

Wayne Mobile Health Unit (WMHU), in partnership with The Word and Sports Nonprofit Organization is offering the following services:

 

WMHU SERVICES:

  • Blood Pressure Screening
  • General Health Screenings: Complete Metabolic Panel: Kidney, liver, glucose, electrolytes; Lipid Panel: Cholesterol and cardiovascular risk; Hemoglobin A1c: Diabetes/prediabetes screening; TSH: Thyroid function; and CBC with Differential: Blood and immune system
  • Language Line
  • Appointments not required
  • Parental/Guardian authorization is required for any individuals under the age of 18 for all services outside of the HIV Screening (13 years and up).

 

Other Services that may be available:

  • HIV testing (13+ years old, results within 20 minutes)
  • Linkage to care and community resources
  • Medication Therapy Management
  • Take Control of your birth control (TCoyBC)

Community/General Health Site

Churches, schools, senior centers, community centers, various organizations** Use this Template (when we are in Vaccine season)

  • Blood Pressure Screening

  • Standard Influenza vaccinations *Subject to availability. Insurance billed for vaccines. (There will be no cost to an individual who does not have insurance coverage).
