Jacob Rube, M.D., joins Department of Neurology

Jacob Rube, M.D., has joined the Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology, and Wayne Health, as an assistant professor.

Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Rube’s areas of interest include diagnosis and treatment of both relapsing and progressive multiple sclerosis and other neuro-immunological disorders. His research interests involve the clinical aspects of multiple sclerosis.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Touro College in New York in 2010, and his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2014. He completed a medical residency at Staten Island University Hospital in 2015 and a Neurology residency at Northwell Health in Manhasset, New York, where he was named chief Neurology resident, in 2018. He completed Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroimmunology fellowship training at WSU in 2020.

A member of the American Academy of Neurology, Dr. Rube received the Board of Governors Medical Dean Scholarship at WSU, the Patient and Family Support Specialty Award from the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the Outstanding Scholar Award and Scholarly Achievement and Excellence in Biology at Touro College.

He instructs WSU medical students in their Neurology rotation and residents in inpatient and outpatient Neurology rotations.
