Meet the provider: Phillip Kucab, M.D.

Phillip Kucab, M.D., Department of Neurology, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Public Health and Epidemiology Fellowship with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, Georgia, and a Master of Science degree in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. He is a graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2016 and completed his Neurology Residency at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2020.

Dr. Kucab has a long history of community involvement. He currently serves as the Chief of Neurology Integrated Clinical Services at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the World Federation of Hemophilia USA, Albany, New York, which is an international humanitarian aid organization that supplies medications and medical professionals to developing countries. He is the Founder and current President of World AIDS Day in Detroit focused on bringing together AIDS-service organizations, governmental and educational institutions, business, community, and political leaders to commemorate World AIDS Day since 2011.
