Philip Ross, D.O., joins Department of Neurology

Philip Ross, D.O., has joined Wayne Health and the Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology as an assistant professor, within the Division of Neurocritical Care.
Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, his interests include traumatic brain and spinal cord Injury, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage and cerebral Vasospasm, intravenous anesthetic therapy for refractory status epilepticus, ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, and other emergency neurological conditions.
Dr. Ross received his bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Wesleyan University in 2009 and his medical degree from the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tennessee 2014. He completed his neurology residency with the Department of Neurology Ascension Health System in Warren, Mich., in 2018 and served as chief intern for the Class of 2014 at St. John Providence/Ascension Health System. He completed a Neurocritical Care fellowship with the Department of Neurology at Henry Ford Hospital in 2020.
He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Michigan Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Medical Association, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Neurocritical Care Society.
