Pontiac COVID-19 relief event offering testing, free food, kids supplies from The Oakland Press

A Pontiac church is hosting a coronavirus testing and relief event for area residents.

All Saints’ Episcopal Church is teaming up with Wayne Health and a host of other community partners to offer free resources on Monday, Feb. 22.

The Wayne Health Mobile Unit will be providing coronavirus testing, blood pressure screenings and HIV screenings. Free food boxes will be distributed by Gleaners Community Food BankCommon Ground, Oakland County’s crisis mental health agency, will be in attendance to provide information and resources.

Molina Healthcare of Michigan will be handing out warm weather care kits while the Pontiac Creative Arts Center will have therapeutic art kits available. Lastly, PK Kids will have gently used items for families such as maternity clothes, car seats, bassinets, breast pumps and baby clothes.

The event will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. at the church, 171 W. Pike St. in Pontiac. For those who would like to submit a pre-intake form to Wayne Health, text WH Cares to 4-8355. Pre-intake forms are not required.
