This can make the latest treatments and clinical trials available to you sooner than other providers without a medical school affiliation, and before FDA approval or commercial availability.

Wayne Health providers are affiliated with the Perinatal Research Branch (PRB), the only branch of the National Institutes of Health outside of Maryland, providing access to the most recent information on obstetrics in the nation. The PRB conducts clinical and basic research in perinatal medicine to develop new diagnostic, treatment and preventive strategies reducing adverse pregnancy outcomes and infant mortality. The PRB also provides research training for physicians, scientists and other health care professionals to improve the health care of mothers and their children.
