We work alongside your obstetric provider to coordinate prenatal care, along with specialized testing and procedures, to ensure the best possible outcome. We can provide direct prenatal care for patients with particularly high-risk conditions, requiring a higher level of obstetric management. Our physicians offer specialized services at multiple sites in southeast Michigan, are available for consultation 24 hours a day and provide labor and delivery services at Hutzel Women’s Hospital in Detroit. Patients receive personalized and passionate care on the leading edge of medicine.
Wayne Health physicians and researchers are also faculty at Wayne State University School of Medicine who conduct basic, translational and clinical research. This can make the latest treatments and clinical trials available to you sooner than other providers without a medical school affiliation, and before FDA approval or commercial availability.
Wayne Health providers are affiliated with the Perinatal Research Branch (PRB), the only branch of the National Institutes of Health outside of Maryland, providing access to the most recent information on obstetrics in the nation. The PRB conducts clinical and basic research in perinatal medicine to develop new diagnostic, treatment and preventive strategies reducing adverse pregnancy outcomes and infant mortality. The PRB also provides research training for physicians, scientists and other health care professionals to improve the health care of mothers and their children.
