Mona Elsayed, M.D., MSc, Department of Neurology, is board certified in Neurology, Epilepsy, and Clinical Neurophysiology. Dr. Elsayed earned her medical degree at Al Azhar University, School of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. She completed her residency in neurology at Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University. She then completed a fellowship in Epilepsy/ Clinical Neurophysiology at Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University. Dr. Elsayed’s clinical interests include treatment of epilepsies, refractory epilepsy, Epilepsy Surgery and brain stimulators for refractory epilepsies, treatment of status epilepticus, autoimmune encephalitis, and Critical care/long term electroencephalography (EEG) monitoring. In addition, Dr. Elsayed has experiences in IntraOperative NeuroMonitoring of spine and brain surgeries including Epilepsy surgery cases. She participated in the education of medical students, residents and Epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology fellows.
