With advances in health care, technology and medicine, adults can now live longer, healthier lives. Wayne Health’s Family Medicine team serves as your health care partner emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention and patient-centered care to enrich and improve your life long into your adult years. We serve as the “captain” of your health care team, coordinating your care with other health specialists.
Family Medicine services are a foundation of the Center for Population Health Accountability at Wayne Health’s 400 Mack Detroit Health Center in Midtown Detroit. At the CPHA, we help families improve their overall health and well-being with a full range of adult and pediatric primary medical and behavioral care, with a focus on screening and disease prevention.
Wayne Health Family Medicine providers focus on being a partner in your journey to better health. We offer a full range of screening tests and immunizations for adult men and women and will help you develop strategies and plans to lower your risk of disease, manage your symptoms and optimize your health.
Wayne Health physicians and researchers are also faculty at Wayne State University School of Medicine who conduct basic research and clinical studies. This can make the latest medical knowledge, treatments and clinical trials available to you sooner than other providers without a medical school affiliation.
The department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences at Wayne State University is dedicated to leading research and advancing family medicine and public health sciences. This commitment is exemplified in all aspects of our work, from the scholarly efforts that we require of our resident physicians to the many research studies onducted by our faculty.
