Wayne Health’s Internal Medicine specialists are board-certified physicians in primary care and sub-specialty care. Our physicians are faculty members of the Wayne State University School of Medicine, actively involved in the science and art of medicine, as researchers and as educators of the next generation of physicians. Our world-renowned experts focus on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of complex and routine illnesses, always striving for excellence through our shared mission of education, research and patient care for the diverse southeastern Michigan population.
Internal Medicine services are a foundation of the newly established Center for Population Health Accountability (CPHA) at Wayne Health’s 400 Mack Detroit Health Center in Midtown. There, we help families to improve their overall health with an integrated continuum of adult and pediatric primary medical care, women’s health services and behavioral health care. Our primary care physicians and specialists also serve patients at other Wayne Health locations in Detroit, Southfield, Troy and Dearborn.
Our internal medicine providers offer a full spectrum of primary care services and collaborate with other specialists to ensure that all of a patient’s medical needs are met, including specialized services addressing unique needs. Our specialists are renowned experts who provide subspecialty care for conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, sarcoidosis, cystic fibrosis, comprehensive diabetes care, cardiac electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, HIV care and interventional nephrology. Care is coordinated with a patient’s other primary care physicians. Wayne Health providers deliver whole-person care that encompasses prevention, diagnosis and treatment of urgent and chronic diseases, and partner with you in improving your health with a focus on quality, honesty, integrity and access to care in times of need.
Wayne Health physicians and researchers are faculty members of the Wayne State University School of Medicine who conduct research and clinical studies. This makes the latest treatments and clinical trials available to you sooner than other health providers without a medical school affiliation.
